The Idiot Stuffed With Chaff

Wukong swung his fist at Bajie and cursed him: "This chaff-stuffed idiot is thoroughly idle, and no sort of person at all.
著 reads zhe, the striking held in progress. 饢糠 — stuffed with husks, the part of the grain fed to animals. 甚 here is shèn, meaning very.

Master, do not be vexed. That monster will be here shortly to carry you."
切莫 — on no account. A firm, slightly formal way of telling someone to stop.

Sha Wujing too was much ashamed, and quickly covered it over, gathering up the baggage and strapping the horse. They all waited on the road, and we say no more of it.
甚 is again shèn, very. 不題 is the storyteller's formula for setting a thread aside.
總評 Commentary
Stuffed with chaff is a farmer's insult. Husks are what is left after the grain is taken out, and what you feed to pigs — which is the joke, since Bajie is one. Wukong has called him a thing filled with the worthless part of the harvest, and the pig connection does not need pointing out to anyone who has met the character.
Sha Wujing's embarrassment is the detail that redeems the scene. He was the one who attacked Bajie, and he was right, but he was also standing next to the open luggage when Wukong appeared. Quickly covering it over is doing double duty: he is putting the baggage away, and he is also covering his own part in it.
The closing formula — we say no more of it — is the storyteller stepping out from behind the characters to move the reader elsewhere. These phrases are everywhere in Ming vernacular fiction and they preserve the shape of an oral performance, where the teller had to say out loud that he was changing scene.
