多心的猴子 A Monkey Quick To Suspect

He gave orders to the rest of the demons besides: "None of you is to go idling about the mountain. Sun Wukong is a monkey who suspects a great deal, and if he sees you coming and going he will certainly grow doubtful and see through this."
多心 — much heart, and so quick to read a meaning into things. 識破 is to see through a thing and know it for what it is.
The last order is the one that shows how good this plan is. Having built the escort, the menu and the road-shelters, the third fiend now removes the ordinary traffic of the mountain, because the thing most likely to give him away is a demon strolling about looking unconcerned.
His assessment of Wukong is exact and it is the second time in the chapter he has got it right. Earlier he worked out that this monkey cannot bear to be thought small-time. Now he adds that he suspects a great deal — much heart, in the phrase, meaning a mind that finds significance everywhere.
Which is what makes the trap work. Wukong will see nothing suspicious because there will be nothing to see, and a mind that reads meaning into everything is very badly served by an empty road.
