The storyteller's standing formula, closing every chapter of the book. 分解 is to divide a thing up and lay it out — to explain it — and it is the last word of the chapter every time.
The formula is a survival from the storyteller's platform, where the point of stopping was to bring the audience back tomorrow. Here it does something sharper than usual, because of the word it chooses: how they got away from the monastery.
Not what happened, or who the girl turns out to be. Getting away. The party has just walked into a walled house with seventy or eighty monks in it, and shut the gate, and the demon they carried in is sitting down to supper with them.
