總評 Commentary

The cloud gods obey, and then overdo it. The sky is not merely un-clouded; it is scoured, with the sun glaring out of it for as far as anyone can see.

That excess is a nice touch. Wukong asked them to stop and they have gone further, because obeying him thoroughly seems safer than obeying him exactly. The result is that the immortal's failure is not merely a non-event but a spectacle -- a brilliant empty sky above a man cracking a tablet at it.
