我家裡人來 My Family Have Come for Me

我的兒 — my child — is the same insult he opened the fight with, and it means the same thing: I am your senior. 家裡人, one of my own household, is what he calls the brother who put him here.

一yì發fā向xiàng前qián，沒méi頭tóu沒méi臉liǎn築zhù去qù。一yì发fā向xiàng前qián，没méi头tóu没méi脸liǎn筑zhù去qù。

All the more he pressed forward, pounding away at head and face alike.

沒頭沒臉 for the second time in the chapter, and it was the little imp's phrase for him the first time. He fights exactly as reported.

The fiend truly could not parry it, and led his band of imps off in defeat.

委 here is truly, really — conceding the point. 敗陣 is to lose the field, and the fiend takes his whole company with him, which is a withdrawal rather than a rout.

總評 Commentary

Bajie wins. He was outnumbered forty to one and losing, and the moment he heard a familiar voice he drove the whole company off the field.

What he says while doing it is the sad part. My family have come — said by a man whose family sent him here, about a rescue that consisted of shouting.
