众臣各依品从，作队而走。
The ministers fell in by rank and precedence and moved off in file.
品從 is grade and attendance. The order of a procession is itself a statement of who stands where.
行者整衣而起。

Pilgrim straightened his robe and rose.
Six characters. He arranges his clothing before following a court — the same instinct that made him set his voice and face in order before speaking to the eunuchs.
八戒道：「哥哥，切莫攀出我們來。」

Eight Rules said, "Brother — mind you do not drag us into it."
攀 is to pull somebody up after you, and so to implicate them. 哥哥 takes a weak second syllable, and this is the last of the chapter's three occurrences of the word.
The procession forms itself with the fastidiousness of a court, and Pilgrim joins it by smoothing his robe — the closest he comes all chapter to playing along.
Eight Rules's parting line is exactly what he was told at the wall, in reverse. He was left holding the consequences of his brother's trick; now he is asking not to be handed them a second time.
