總評 Commentary

The chapter ends on the conventional cliff-hanger, deferring the resolution of Liu Quan and Li Cuilian's return — and the consternation the borrowed body will cause — to the chapter that follows. With Taizong restored, the underworld debts settled, and the Grand Mass pledged, the ground is laid for the great rite at which the pilgrimage to fetch the scriptures will at last be set in motion.
