Leaning on his stick, the old man said to Bajie, "This mountain is called the Lion Camel Ridge, and it runs eight hundred lǐ.
拄著杖 again, with 著 as zhe — the weight stays on the stick through the whole speech. 獅駝嶺 is Lion Camel Ridge, and the name is a warning: the two animals in it will both turn out to be residents.
In the middle of it is the Lion Camel Cave.
Seven characters. The ridge is named after the cave and the cave after its occupants, which is how this novel signposts a place worth worrying about.

魔頭 is a demon chief — 頭 as head, boss, ringleader. Three of them, and the chapter's title has already promised us one is fierce.
Four questions were asked and here, at last, is an answer. The old man gives it flatly and in order: the mountain, the cave, what is in the cave.
The scale is the first shock. Eight hundred lǐ is not a hill with a monster on it — it is a region, and the pilgrims are proposing to walk through the middle of it.
And the name does the rest. A place called after a lion and a camel, with three chiefs in residence, is the novel telling you what is coming without spending a word on description.
