Pilgrim said, "Do you know why the king has picked me out and sent me?"
點我出來 is to pick a man out by name from a list — the same 點 as in the roll call. Pilgrim is speaking the organisation's own language back to it.
小妖道:「不知。」
小妖道:「不知。」
The little demons said, "We do not."
Five characters. They do not know, and they are about to be told, and the telling is entirely invention.
Pilgrim opens with a question he already knows the answer to, which is how an interrogation is made to feel like a briefing.
The phrase he uses is administrative to its bones — picked out and sent, the verb for selecting a name off a register. He has now used the roll call, the shift system, the tally and the promotion, all correctly, against an organisation he entered forty minutes ago.
