那師父十分苦痛。你看那獃子，他也不來勸解師父，卻叫：「沙和尚，你拿將行李來，我兩個分了罷。」沙僧道：「二哥，分怎的？」那师父十分苦痛。你看那呆子，他也不来劝解师父，却叫：「沙和尚，你拿将行李来，我两个分了罢。」沙僧道：「二哥，分怎的？」

The master was in the bitterest distress.
Six characters of narration, placed between the lament and what comes next. The book wants it on the record that the grief is real before it lets Bajie speak.
Now look at the Idiot: he does not come and comfort his master at all, but calls out, "Sha Monk! Fetch the luggage over and let the two of us divide it."
你看那獃子 — now look at the Idiot — is the storyteller inviting the audience to watch somebody disgrace himself. 將 is jiāng, the grammar that puts an object in front of its verb.
Sha Monk said, "Second brother — divide it how?"
Sha Monk speaks about once a chapter and it is usually a question like this one: short, level, and giving the other person exactly enough rope.
This is one of the most-quoted moments in the whole novel and it is Bajie's lowest. The master is on the ground weeping and the Idiot's response is to propose splitting the assets. It is a joke the book has been building since he joined the party, and every reader knows it is coming.
It is worth noticing that he does it in front of Xuanzang rather than behind his back. Bajie is not scheming; he genuinely thinks the venture has failed and that the sensible thing is to wind it up. The novel gets its comedy out of him being the only one who says what a reasonable person might think.
