The queen said: "I have had the Great King's condescending affection for three years now, and we have never yet shared a pillow or a quilt.
得 is dé after 未 — never managed to. Her 今已三年, three years now, is the chapter's third statement of the interval: the courier said three years ago in one scene and since the year before last in another, and she agrees with the first of them.
"It is a bond from a former life that has made this match of ours.
場 is cháng, the counting word for something that runs its course, and 這場夫妻 counts a marriage the way one counts a battle or a rainstorm — the third of the chapter's four such uses.

外我 is to put me outside, to hold me at a distance, and it is the hinge of the whole speech — she uses it three times across a hundred and sixty-four characters and the argument rests on it entirely.
