Those nine Yang Springs are: Fragrant Cold Spring, Companion Hill Spring, Warm Spring, Eastern Union Spring, Golden Hill Spring, Filial Peace Spring, Broad Fen Spring, Hot Spring — and this spring, which is Filth-Cleansing Spring.
Eight names and then the ninth, held to the end after a dash. The list is the chapter placing its own setting inside a geography of the whole world, and the punchline is that the pool these women are about to bathe in is one of the nine fallen suns.

Two characters, and the seventh set-piece of the chapter begins — a regulated poem about hot water.
總評 Commentary
Eight spring names, then a dash, then the ninth — which is this one. The list is doing what a map does: fixing a small place inside a large frame.
None of the other eight matters to the plot and the book names all of them anyway. That is worth noticing about how this novel handles its world. The bathing pool seven spiders took from seven immortals is not just a location; it is item nine on a list of the world's hot springs, each of which used to be a sun.
