總評 Commentary
The scene of appointment is brisk and procedural: a vacancy at Jiangzhou (江州, in modern Jiangxi, on the Yangzi), Wei Zheng's recommendation, the emperor's grant, and the charge not to overstep the 限期 — the fixed term within which an official had to reach his post. The office of 江州州主 ('Governor of Jiangzhou') is the very post that will draw Guangrui to his death. The repeated motion — out of court, back to the residence, leave-taking, departure — quietly assembles the household that the river is about to scatter.
