那國王辭了法師,將著烏金丹並甘雨至宮中,先吞了一丸,吃了一盞甘雨;再吞了一丸,又飲了一盞甘雨;三次,三丸俱吞了,三盞甘雨俱送下。那国王辞了法师,将着乌金丹并甘雨至宫中,先吞了一丸,吃了一盏甘雨;再吞了一丸,又饮了一盏甘雨;三次,三丸俱吞了,三盏甘雨俱送下。

The king took his leave of the Master of the Law, carried the Black Gold Elixir and the sweet rain into the inner palace, swallowed one pill first, and drank one cup of the sweet rain;

再吞了一丸,又飲了一盞甘雨;

俱 twice over, totalling it up: all three down. He has taken the whole prescription without asking a single question about it.
總評 Commentary
One pill, one cup; a second pill, a second cup; and a third time, until all three are down. The sentence is cut into three by the edition, and the shape of it is a man working steadily through a course of treatment.
He takes the whole prescription without a single question. Nobody at this court has asked what is in the pills since the moment he opened the box, and nobody is going to.
