待老孫去請 Let Old Monkey Go And Ask
你今親去請他，他來施恩相助，準可捉怪救師也。」行者心喜道：「你且去保護我師父，勿令傷他，待老孫去請也。」你今亲去请他，他来施恩相助，准可捉怪救师也。」行者心喜道：「你且去保护我师父，勿令伤他，待老孙去请也。」

相 is xiāng, mutually, in 相助. 親去 — go yourself — matters, because the last borrowing was arranged in person too, and the one before it by written petition.
行者心喜道：「你且去保護我師父，勿令傷他，待老孫去請也。」
行者心喜道：「你且去保护我师父，勿令伤他，待老孙去请也。」
Pilgrim was glad at heart and said, "Do you go and guard my master, and let no harm come to him, while Old Monkey goes to ask."
心喜, glad at heart, against the weeping of a few segments ago. The scene has moved him from tears to cheerfulness without anything changing except the availability of one more name.
The exchange closes by sending each party back to his post: the Merit Star to the invisible guard he was defending himself for keeping, Monkey to another journey of petition. Nothing has been solved and both of them are satisfied.
They will certainly take the fiend and rescue your master — that is the second confident promise in this chapter, and the first was made about troops now lying roped in a cellar. The novel lets the pattern be visible without commenting on it.
