莫不是請了 Has He Fetched Help
老妖道：「這猴兒兩三日不來，今朝卻又叫戰，莫不是請了些救兵來耶？」三怪道：「怕他怎的？我們都去看來。」老妖道：「这猴儿两三日不来，今朝却又叫战，莫不是请了些救兵来耶？」三怪道：「怕他怎的？我们都去看来。」

老妖道：「這猴兒兩三日不來，今朝卻又叫戰，莫不是請了些救兵來耶？」
老妖道：「这猴儿两三日不来，今朝却又叫战，莫不是请了些救兵来耶？」
The old monster said, "This monkey has not come for two or three days, and today here he is challenging us again. Can it be that he has fetched some rescuers?"
莫不是 is the phrase for a suspicion you are reasoning your way into. The old fiend has noticed the pattern and drawn the right inference, which is more than his brothers manage.
三怪道：「怕他怎的？我們都去看來。」
三怪道：「怕他怎的？我们都去看来。」
The third fiend said, "What is there to fear from him? Let us all go and have a look."
怕他怎的, what is to fear about him, and then six characters of let us go and see. The cleverest of the three has stopped thinking at exactly the wrong moment.
The old fiend gets it right. Three days of silence and then a challenge means something has changed, and he says so.
And the third fiend, who invented the iron chest and the rumour and read Wukong's grief correctly, waves it away. His plan worked so well that it has stopped him wondering, and the one who has out-thought everybody all chapter walks out of the gate because he cannot be bothered to be careful.
