Line by line
He let the auspicious cloud sink and went straight into the abbot's quarters.
按落, to press the cloud down and land. 落 is luò; 中 is zhōng.
There Eight Rules and Sha Monk were sleeping foot-to-foot.
通腳, head to tail — two large men sharing a bed the practical way. 著 in 睡著 is zháo, the reading for a state achieved: asleep.
Pilgrim first called Wujing, and Sha Monk woke: "Brother, haven't you slept yet?"
還 is hái, "still"; 不 is bù before 曾; 哩 is li.
Pilgrim said: "Get up — you and I will go treat ourselves to something."
受用, to enjoy, to treat oneself — deliberately vague, and the vagueness is bait.
Sha Monk said: "It's the dead of night, the third watch; mouth dry and eyes gritty — what's there to enjoy?"
Sha Monk is not tempted, and his grumble is the exact voice of a man woken at midnight. 口枯眼澀, mouth dry and eyes gritty. 更 is gēng, the night-watch; 甚 is shén.
總評 Commentary
The tone drops from high ceremony to farce inside a single breath. The Great Sage who was watching a midnight star-rite a moment ago is now shaking his brothers awake to go and raid the altar table.
Sha Monk's sleepy objection — mouth dry, eyes gritty, what is there to enjoy at this hour? — sets the register for everything that follows. And the two impulses are the same impulse in Wukong: having freed the monks, he intends to humiliate the gods their persecutors serve.
